INTRODUCTION

Who we are?

The history of the Ágica Animal Shelter Foundation dates back to 2015. Ágnes Zacharias (Ágica) - the founder of the shelter - has already sheltered countless animals in her own home. In 2015, she started building her shelter, first in her home, and then on a property outside Solt, using her father's inheritance. The shelter has now housed countless injured, old and sick animals who otherwise would not have had a chance to survive.

At the two locations (Ágica's home and the site), an average of 80 animals live their daily lives, looking for their owner. Over the years, we have rescued dogs and cats in a completely hopeless condition, but we have also saved birds and horses. Residents in worse condition found a safe home in Ágica's home. Among them are 4 carriage dogs, many old, elderly, sick dogs and cats infected with the FIV virus. At the shelter, two people usually do the daily work with Ágica, she takes care of the animals alone at home.

The aim of the shelter is to provide help to injured, sick and vulnerable animals who otherwise have no chance of survival. And the luckier animals who had a chance to be rehabilitated are constantly looking for their loving owners, where they are seen as real family members. Some of our adoptable dogs and some of our dogs found owners can be found on the website. If you are thinking about adoption, take a look at our animals looking for a home.

The operation of the foundation is fundamentally influenced by the tax 1 percentage given by our supporters, financial and material donations. If you have the opportunity and would like to help our work, even with the price of a coffee, take a look at the possibilities on the 'help' page.

Shelter and Refuge

Together with Ágica's home, the shelter shelters ~80 dogs and cats.

Rescue and Medical Care

Our goal is to give a new chance for the injured, old, sick animals.
